The Azebaijan National Carpet Museum Held a Meeting with Collector Amir Oskoue

The Azebaijan National Carpet Museum held a meeting with collector Amir Oskouei, an American citizen of Azerbaijani origin. Amina Melikova, the director of ANCM, Kubra Aliyeva, Doctor of Science in Art History, and Leading Scientific Researcher of ANAS Telman Ibrahimov delivered speeches at the event and emphasized the importance of the exhibition Azerbaijani Carpet Splendor. Safavid Treasures in Antique Weaving, opened on December 24, 2024. They also noted Amir Oskoue’s important role in preservation and promotion of Azerbaijani national heritage.

Amir Oskoue expressed satisfaction with the display of rare carpets and artistic embroidery samples of the 17th-18th centuries from his collection at the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum and the audience’s great interest in the exhibition. Then, Amir answered the guests’ questions.

The event also included classical and folk songs by jazz pianist, composer and singer Leyla Noir.
