On January 28, 2017 within the framework of the Open Doors Day in the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum was organized the event under the initiative of Children's Museum Department of the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum.

The purpose of this event is to unite the common interests between parents and children, strengthen the bridges of communication and the most importantly tell about the culture and art of our country. Children and parents who participate at the event have a chance to get acquainted with the history of Azerbaijani carpets and decorative applied art and on the master classes organized within the framework of the event, where by using their skills, they make various samples of art. The event program meets interests of different age groups. In addition, the program of the event also features various interesting entertaining games such as the computer game Create your carpet, Carpet puzzle, the table game Grand Bazaar, a meeting with the famous architect Elchin Aliyev, after which is held the competition The architecture of Azerbaijan and in the result of which the winners of the best drawings get awards, the contest You are a talent, Create a family emblem with HUMEL Psychological center, Mini tours lasting 40 minutes, Fairytale time with the children's writer Gulzar Ibrahimova, the display of Azerbaijani cartoons, Color yourself, Collect toys from colored paper, Make your Tilda Doll and other entertaining games and assignments.

It should be noted that The Family Day event is held on the last Saturday of every month within the framework of the Open Doors Day and is one of the projects which is organized by the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum in the field of education and illumination of children and youth.
