On April 2, 2017, at the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum was held an event Azerbaijan’s emerald - Kalbajar dedicated to the 24th anniversary of occupation of Kalbajar by Armenia.

At the event Sabina Azizova, Head of Shusha Branch of the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum; Barzani Alasgarov, Director of the Museum of History and Ethnography of Kalbajar; Ramiz Najafli, Scientific Researcher of the Kalbajar Museum of Martyrs; Mirvari Verdiyeva, Docent of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University; Anvar Ahmad, Chief of Karabakh Section of UAW (Union of Azerbaijani Writers); Roza Verdiyeva, Teacher of Kalbajar School made speeches on material and spiritual heritage and ethnography of Kalbajar. Then, here was displayed an exhibition of exhibits from the collection of Museum of History and Ethnography of Kalbajar – khurjun, mafrash, sahang, carpet, sukhur, charig, types of wood, keys of the Museum, and metalworks. Here also, was shown a video-clip Virtual tour to Kalbajar presented by Virtual Karabakh Information and Communication Technologies Center, with support of Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
