The lecture “Carpet Art and New Descriptive Opportunities” by CHINGIZ, famous artist, sculptor and art critic, was held at the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum. In his speech, he focused on the development of carpet weaving art and the new descriptive opportunities of this creative ancient art from a different modern aspect. Speaking about his art experience, CHINGIZ told about his creativity in this direction.

Lecture, which was greeted with participants’ great interest, was accompanied by the question-answer discussion. Architect Elchin Aliyev, art critic Rafael Gulmammadov, and others shared their views on the subject.

Shirin Melikova, Director of Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, thanked CHINGIZ for his speech and sharing his opinion, and emphasized the importance of promoting the Azerbaijani Carpet Weaving Art to a wide audience both in our country and abroad. Speaking of museum works, Shirin Melikova expressed her appreciation to CHINGIZ for his cooperation with the museum and expressed confidence in further collaboration.

CHINGIZ, famous artist, sculptor, art critic, was the curator of a number of art projects in Azerbaijan and abroad. The artist’s works are kept in private collections in Europe, Asia and North America. He participated in solo and group exhibitions in Azerbaijan, Georgia, France, Russia, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Austria and other countries. CHINGIZ is the participants of the exhibition project “Contemporary Art in Carpets” held by our Museum as part of the 5th International Symposium. The “Resistance” pile carpet, specifically designed for this exhibition, is currently exhibited in the museum exposition and is of great interest for visitors.
