An event dedicated to the 96th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev
The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum and the Sabail District Organization of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP) organized a joint event dedicated to the 96th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum staff visited the Alley of Honor and honor the memory of great leader Heydar Aliyev.
Deputies, representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, employees of the Sabail District Organization of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP), employees of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, chairman of the board of the Public Association Azerbaijan Community of the Nagorno-Karabakh Region of Azerbaijan and the museum community attended the event at the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum.
Shirin Melikova, Director of the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, Chair of ICOM Azerbaijan National Committee, and Shamsaddin Hajiyev, Chairman of the Sabail District Organization of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP) spoke about the political activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
In her speech, Shirin Melikova told about the great leader’s tremendous work conducted to safeguard our national and spiritual values, develop Azerbaijani culture, preserve the carpet weaving art for future generations, carried out by his worthy followers – President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva.
Professor Shamsaddin Hajiyev spoke about the development of the socio-economic sphere of Azerbaijan during the Heydar Aliyev’s governance.
Guests could observe the portrait carpet by People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Kamil Aliyev, devoted to Heydar Aliyev and woven in 1985. This work magnificently reflects the image of the great personality of Heydar Aliyev, who has leadership qualities and strong charisma.
The concert program of the event featured great leader’s favorite songs performed by Honored Artists of Azerbaijan Shahin Ismayilov and Rovshan Gahramanov.
