Duz torbasi

The next object from the museum's Carpet Products collection is DUZ TORBASI.

Duz torbasi is a patterned salt bag that was also called duzlug or duzgabi. The salt bag, decorated with different patterns and ornaments, had a narrow-necked shape that was made from wool, cotton, and silk yarns and woven using the zili (gayig) or mixed techniques. People usually preferred to decorate their geometric-shaped salt bags with red colors.
