Our next exhibit is KULAJA!

A kulaja was a type of women’s outerwear that was common in Nakhchivan: it came to the waist, had a corrugated hemline, and without buttons. The sleeves, collar, hemline, and waist were decorated with beautiful patterns using gold and silver threads, beads, sequins, and cannetille.
