Garabatdag necklace.
Let's take a closer look at the elegant necklace from the museum's Jewelry collection!
An arashgin is a head decoration that was popular in Nakhchivan and took its name from the arakhchin headdress attached to it. It is reminiscent of garabatdag, composed of two rows of decorative elements in the shape of a star and crescent hanging from rhomboid parts. Nakhchivan women used them as an arashgin and necklaces. This type jewelry examples were found in Nakhchivan and are considered to be one of the jewelry collection’s masterpieces.
