Carpet Sor-Sor (prayer rug)
Dear Friends!
We have exciting news to share with you. Today, the museum's collection has been enriched with a new and unique sample - Sor-Sor carpet donated by the Italian carpet collector Erminio Bottini. The prayer rug of the Shirvan carpet group (1811) impresses with its perfect composition and color harmony.
We express our deep gratitude to Erminio Bottini and Stefano Ionescu (Rome), a close friend of our museum who have always supported us in our mission, for their invaluable support in returning the Azerbaijani carpet to its historical homeland!
