Exhibition Latif Karimov: Life dedicated to the carpet art

On November 17, 2016 within the framework of joint cooperation of the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum and the All-Russian Museum of Decorative-Applied and Folk Art was held opening ceremony of the exhibition Latif Karimov: Life dedicated to the carpet art dedicated to the 110th anniversary of outstanding scientist, carpet artist.

For the exhibition were presented 7 carpets and 4 carpet products from the fund of the All-Russian Decorative-Applied and Folk Art Museum. In addition, there were exhibited the author sketches of Latif Karimov, author and classical carpets and carpet products woven on the basis of the sketches, as well as items of applied art decorated by the master and previously unpublished archive materials - letters, photographs, notes from books of review from personal expibitions of the artist. In the framework of the exhibition was presented a book From the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum's collection: Latif Karimov's works. In this book have been published author sketches and carpets of Latif Karimov, and also photos, documents and letters from the personal archive of Karimov's family.

Exhibition Latif Karimov: Life dedicated to the carpet art lasted from November 17, 2016 till January 18, 2017.
