Today, the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum held the ceremony of cutting off the loom the carpet Novkhani from the Baku carpet group. This ceremony, which became a good tradition, also engaged the visitors along with the museum staff.

This newly woven carpet, woven at the Traditional Technologies Department of the ANCM by Gulkhar Soltanova, based on the technical sketch by the carpet artist Shabnam Piriyeva is a replica of the Novkhani carpet dating back to the late 19th - early 20th century.
