A lecture The Visual Code of the Turkic Culture by the PhD in Art Studies and theorist of visual art Elchin Shamilli has been held within the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum. The scientist explained the role of the visual art in architecture, design and decorative and applied art. He also outlined the impact of carpet art, which is one of the major branches of the Turkic culture, on world art and architecture. He underlined the importance of different presentation of sign systems, images and patterns decorating our carpets, also noting the importance of masters' activity in this direction.

Shamilli discussed the topic with the audience and answered questions.
