Director of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, Amina Malikova joined the Second Museum Congress of Kazakhstan.

The Second Museum Congress of Kazakhstan is held on September 23-24 in Astana. The event, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, included the international scientific and practical conference on the topic Contemporary Museums: Science, Education and Innovation. The international event includes discussions on fund and exhibition activity, conservation, restoration, scientific research and promotion. Amina Malikova, Director of the ANCM represented our country at the event. She delivered a report on Preservation of Textile Collections: ANCM's Experience in Conservation and Restoration. She spoke in detail about the history of the ANCM, its collections and activity of Carpet and Decorative and Applied Art Conservation, Restoration and Maintenance Control Department and told about the international projects organised in collaboration with the foreign museums, including the project with the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Specialists from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkiye, China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Iran and France joined the event and made reports.
