Collecting objects, telling stories

On December 9, 2016 in the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum was held the lecture entitled “Collecting objects, telling stories” by Rama Zeynalova, employee of the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum who participated in the training workshop held in Beijing (China) by the ICOM International Training Centre for Museum Studies (ICOM-ITC). The lecture was attended by both employees of the Museum and students of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art.
In the lecture were talked about new approaches to collecting objects, signification of objects in the process of collecting, risk management of collections, illicit traffic in cultural goods and reading artifacts.
